Just wanted to say a quick hello to everybody and say I think this is a great forum. I have learned a bunch by reading the posts here over the last month or so.

I'm gonna hit you with my first question now. I just switched to an Asus P4C800-D (not by choice, I blew up my IC7-G) anyway, I was wondering if anybody new of a guide for the Bios on this board. It's a lot different than my Abit and some of the options I don't know what to do with. Right now I have my P4 2.8C running at 3.8 Ghz using 1.625. I am using watercooling and my temps are 36C idle and they go to 44C full load. I am hoping to push this to 4 ghz, but I am having a tough time getting anything above a 271 fsb. It will boot into windows, but then reboot as soon as I try and run something. I don't know if it's the ram or the CPU causing this. The ram is TwinMos PC3700 and I am using the 5/4 divider.

Anyway, any help you could give would be greatly appreciated :D

I dont have an intel (well besides my old 233MMX, hehe) but Adrian Rojacks Pot Bios guide is always a good place to check.

Welcome to Xtreme Systems

It doesn't sound like your mem, you should still have lots of room there with the 5/4. The majority of the 4+ghz i've seen around here on XS have been with phase change. I would think your cpu is topped out on straight water.
