I am in need of (2) external hard drives in 1Terabyte size. These will be used to back up photoshop tiff files that generally are between 300mb~1.2GB in size. i was looking at these, but do you guys have a better recommendation?
Also i was wondering if there is some kind of "auto back-up" software that i will need?
TIA

If u wanna move large files to it then try to get an external harddrive with Esata.
USB will give you some 30MB a sec were Esata will be just as fast as an internal HDD (atleast twice as fast)

^^^ true , but i would need an e-sata connection, which these computers do not have!! so it has to be usb or firewire.

no possibility to hook up a cheap Esata connector? Or is this for computers at work/school and your not allowed to mess with them?

overhere you can get them for 8 euros orso.
Simply a PCI bracket with on the outside 2 Esata connectors and on the inside 2 SATA cables that you can simply hook up to SATA connectors on the motherboard.
A slightly more expensive option would be PCI- o PCI-express. Same thing just ana ctual card instead of cables.

You could get a card and go with the IEEE 1394b. 1394a may be no faster than USB. But firewire is probably more stable. I USB for backups, but, I am in no rush.
