Dinos...see can you answer this, i assume you've got a retail version?...you know the front panel connectors on the PCB, there is a black plastic thing around the pins...is there a new "Q-Connector" type thing that has been added? because this black plastic thingy will make it quite hard to inser the PC case connectors in the PCB pins without some type of adapter.

hey richard
i don't think this is retail version yet
i only got the board
the PCB is still 0.1 so probably not yet full retail but Gigabyte guys did tell me they will send me a board once they start to hit retail kinda thing....so i guess they must be really close

So you received your toy Dinos :D
Hope you can get some new BIOSes, because the ones I found flashed on my boards truly sucked balls.
Oh, I've got the EP45T-DS5 and the EP45-DS4 here :D

so much for my excitement

the board is DOA

hehehe

ok guys >>> word of warning first of all....the photo i am about to show you does not resemble what retail P45 boards will look like

welcome to the world of engineering samples hehehe

i'm thinking this may have something to do with the fact it doesn't work....have a look at the hand soldered capacitors in there and end of middle line looks like two spots may be joined together and maybe they should not be

Dino, try to fix the socket caps, and it should be ok :)

CPU socket caps are well mashed, like someone took a hammer to it.

Na not so sure Dinos they look to be on the same voltage plane so the fact that they are soldered together won't make much of a difference.

thanks mate
i honestly don't know any better so it's good to get a comment from someone that has better knowledge on this

i will however try another PSU before i give up as this P.O.S. X900 Seasonic PSU has done this to me before with some other hardware.........(it just doesn't like some stuff)...........but Corsair HX620 should be able to kick start it'

if that doesn't work i'll just get another board that works i guess lol
