GGG - [G]olden [g]92 [G]TS

Hi guys,

yesterday i tested my EVGA 8800gts g92 on Dice.

After some testing i realised that this chip ist completly sick. :shocked:

It was cooled by an Otterauge-container an the voltage was around 1,52, only v-gpu moddet.


it does 1200/11150/3000 at all 3Dmarks and AQ3, I´ve never seen that before..

I think this isnt the maximum, Id like to test a bit more, but we wasnt able to overclock with rivertuner, so wie must use Powerstrip and wasnt able to overclock the shader unlinked...

the scores are poor because of the E85 which wouldnt do more than 550FSB stable at my P5K-E....:shakes:

i would have to say good try stupid, but ure score's are so wrong . just for a compare 9800GTX on air :D .

The clocks are not just amazing, they're completely unprecedented. But it's true that the scores are all eerily low. Truthfully I've got a feeling that this is some kind of throttling related bug manifesting itself, and the card is not actually running at the clocks it's set to under 3D load.

i smell fack G , the AQ3 gpu score is off the chart .
for those close it should be 62k or little less , never seen a 8800GTS go that high around here.

well proof me wrong but u can never be sure about anything any more now a day .

shader seems high too, but this gpu clock seems to me impossible on dice... and those scores are really low...
i had a handpicked BFG GTS and it could 1000mhz on dice ~1.4v -> got 31k+ in 05 (http://img383.imageshack.us/img383/1386/31766nd1.png)

Very similiar setup with a GTS G92 on LN2 and an E8400......

Similiar clocks too. Not quite as high as the OP, but close. No AM just 3Ds.

I think its entirely possible that the OPs screenies could be legit benches. 05 is in the ballpark, Aquamark Im not sure about but 03 is way way way low.

Those are really low, for comparison 8800GT run @ 820/2050/999 (more and it goes blank screen after it should type out the result, FFS!) with CPU@5140MHz, which is comparable to yours:

I assume you have something terribly wrong with your system (perhaps stutter due to too high GPU clocks?) or you didn't tweak the IQ at all.

Why cant you use Rivatuner? :confused:

There is a bug if you up the clocks with atitool it would show and go very high but in reality clocks are not that high. The best way is to use RT and some quick 3d tool like rthdribl

i thik there war sth like that with powerstirp to.

powerstrip just goes up to 864 gpu so my friend Freakzion try to overclock by editing the ini, but whem i see your scores i think there ist sth wrong...

.. maybe the run was bugy because of to much frequency on the gpu


.. or just GPU-Z show that amazing clock but real there were just 863mhz gpu.

but im sure because with just 1000mhz gpu the Am3 score was abount 1000 less than that....

Clock's are very high but I hope you'll prove that next time with Riva Tuner and show some serious result here ;)

Oh, I understand. The clocks were not at 1200MHz, but at 864 probably.

To do more than 864, go to the power user interface: Rivatuner > overclocking > global => MaxClockLimit 150.

the main problem was that the rivertuner why ever didnt supptoted the gts, we tested a lot of versions but non like to work, also with the ini edit...

Rivatuner 2.08 works flawlessly for me on every system I put it on with an 8800 GTS G92.
