The cooling on my Scythe Infinity is really bad right now.

People reocmennded finding a backplate and somehow screwing the CPU Cooler into the backplate, like a WC unit.

Iv searched but cant find any backplates on a Canadian website, (Canada computers, NCIX or Tigerdirect.ca)

Can you guys help me out?

Should i do that or return this heatsink for a TRUE? (i dont want to LAP anything!)

You could exchange that for a TRUE which when lapped and modded is a good cooler BUT it really needs to be lapped and the bracket modded due to the moronic base Thermalright makes. Or you could use it un-lapped and sacrifice perhaps a few degrees of temp. reduction, as long as you also don't mind a heatsink that swivels out of position. Hint: there are several other good coolers out there, and some even don't need lapping or any modifications to the mounting bracket, like the Noctua NH-U12P:D www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=27130&vpn=NH%2DU12P&manufacture=Noctua
