With a soldier I usually get a little over 1:1 kill ratio. Was the team like full of newbies or something?

I usually play as an engineer and the best I got was 15 kills + some assists.

My best with engi was 25 kils in a single life. Most with a soldier was 22 kills in a single life.

In that team was upper average and good players =)

But it's easy to own in cp_broma because near of reds cap point C is near of red spawn and there is lots of medkit and ammo boxes in short distances :)

Stragety :) i havent played tf2 for a while and when i did i was just arse with the soldier, always use engineer.

Empty yer clip, stay far from the walls, move a lot and run to get more rockets and if neccesary :D

yeah, and use the shotgun as the primary weapon but have the weapon switch macro'd to a mouse sidebutton
along with reload to the other sidebutton

(the F4 and F5 mouse buttons iirc)


the shotgun should be fired as three rounds then switch to the rockets for the finishing move

so it would be:
3-1, 3-1, re-load shotgun, 3-1, 3-1 reload everything + search health pack

using this formula will substantially boost your skill ratings.
Especially againts other soldiers

ie; dodge their rockets while pumping them with shotgun,
then when they have to reload the rocket launcher - whip out yours and own them

in life you're either a pro or a noob

Nah i like than fast switch and reload are on their own places (Q and R)

Well most destructing way to use rocket is to shoot near of enemy, either ground or walls because rocket does nice damage in large areas... If u are enought lucky u may hit the enemy directly with the rocket :)
