here are a few shots of my ever changing desk area and my new SLI rig... those are 6800GTs in there... all MSI (mobo, vid cards)

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28825&stc=1

I have to clean up the cable routing... the X-connect cables are _tough_ to manage because they are thick and not too flexible... I just got this machine built today, so I think it's looking pretty good so far... there is potential for greatness. heh :)

Here's my desk setup as it stands now...

Yeah, your cabling definately needs cleaning up a bit! Well, I can't really say much since my cables used to be in a bundle sitting in the middle of my case. :O

BTW what radiator grill is that?

Magnj, same Antec case as me. That Powerstream fits no way in hell, Iøm going for something bigger.

This is all before I watercooled it. Now water does NOT fit that case.

Why does he have the 4pin connector in there?
Isnt that only for SLI?
Does it help OCing to feed one GPU with the extra 4pin cable?
Any other things you may know, please share :D

Don't know about doom, but HL2 is very very nice. All highest settings. I put in that power cord because I htought I needed to. I may remove it when i redo the inside of my case, but i've decided to stop toucing stuff untill I get more time and money.

First post, :woot:Wow I really like that! What radiator do you have behind there? And what about getting a airfilter in black? :p: No seriously it's very nice, incorporating a dual rad in such a small case is not easy. I see it's not much room left for hdd's :D

Thanks! :)

There's a BIProII hiding back there with a pair of Yate Loons for fannage. It is a pretty tight squeeze, so no room for any shrouding, but the temps are still pretty nice, 36 idle, 45 load@1.75vcore.

I went with silver screen for filtering to contrast the modders mesh I painted black, the flash from the camera makes it look much brighter than it is in normal lighting (read as, dark room with only light from the monitor :D )

Just out of curiosity, is there a single case that you guys all can agree on, that is the mother of all cases, the biggest most kick ass case on the planet that leaves all other cases trembling in its massive wake of chaos and destruction? Maybe something that won a contest, or was built by an eccentric millionaire?

pc75, v2000... those are some of the biggest baddest cases that would win in a fight if all the cases got up and fought each other, and then theres some modded ones that would beat those up, but thats an unfair competition.

I still love that case... wish I haven't sold it to my friend at times... Best airflow for 80mm fan cases I've had and sturdly built to boot for aluminum case. Only hard thing was... shoving HDD in and out with location of those connectors on IC7 :P

It looks same as wavemaster except
its made with SECC, not aluminum.
I tell you, that case is SMALL.
If you have load of equipment they will tightly fit or not fit.
Not that many TT cases are fully aluminum.
I suggest you go with lian li for light weight/ space.
If you hate the design.. you can always mod it :D

alright than :)

the main prob with my crap case is SPACE and it was 60 euro's with 400w powersupply so..

So can you recommend me a nice spacious case without plastic crap on it? without power supply (I hate that with antec, always powersuplly with it!)

The Turbo Militray switch is part of the Barrel lock key switch.

If the barrel lock is set to off my rig will not turn on period. You would have to cut the PSU open to get it to work because I used pins 13 and 14 to jump.

I eventually plan on adding a double pole single throw relay to make it turn my water box below

Thanks for the compliments. And yes my fans are quiet, and I even have them hooked up to a fan controller for even more quietness. The heatsink does get enough airflow with my setup. My load temps have varried between 49C and 52C while running prime95. I say thats not bad :banana::banana::banana: a passive heatsink. And the rig will only be getting more powerful soon, as I plan on getting another 7800GTX in the future, and 2GB of RAM. I also have a new power supply on the way.

Hi,

After 13 days delay my Antec SOHO plusview1000 AMG case came.
It's quite good but if you could only slide the HD's in like the 5.25 inch devices would be great!
The Artic cooling freezer 64 made that installation quite difficult because the IDE/dvd cables kept on getting stuck in the fan.
http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/8413/img21841yu.th.jpg (http://img16.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img21841yu.jpg)
on the pics the cables look much worsers as they really are. (much better than my old case)
at night,
http://img381.imageshack.us/img381/4463/img21956so.th.jpg (http://img381.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img21956so.jpg)

http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/896/img21924rt.th.jpg (http://img349.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img21924rt.jpg)

http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/4721/img21905at.th.jpg (http://img349.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img21905at.jpg)
"ik ben 16" means "I'm sixteen" quite childish but I think it's great :)

so plz give your opinions about my case. (cables really aren't that bad)

How noisy is that 172mm fan at 12v ?
regards

the 172mm is very quiet, it's supposed to run at 24v... i think the 120mm zalman fan on the heatsink is the loudest one in my case... because i don't use the fan speed controller.

Well thats certainly a start :) Where possible, bundle your cables together (e.g., tie all your sata cables together, that way it will look like one big cable), that way it looks like there are less cables :woot:

Hiding cables behind the drive bays and/or motherboard tray can be effective too :p

Hey nice case, but one thing, do you think a zalman 9500 could fit onto that type of rotated socket without hitting that bottom platform?

is it ok to spra the hell out of the board like that? what precautions should we have to do it?

sorry for my english if there's any error....

Is it me or does it seem like the 120mm Thermaltake fan in on backwards. Shouldn't it blow toward the CPU and not away?? I would think that you would better cool your CPU that way. Maybe its just me. LOL!!!

compression causes heat . therefore if you suck the air off and away from the hs you may yeild slightly better results

If it yields better results, don't you think the industry would have adapted this method??:slap: :nono: :2cents: :argue: :ROTF:

As I said, it depends on setup :slap: cases that have more exhause than intake (like the qpack) would benefit. Also, there are heatsinks designed for exhausting, such as alpha

Cool off there buddy, it depends, like he says. I have found by switching around a few fans and reversing some improves temps, sometimes it doesn't. No need for attitude.

Übergeek

Lol :D Thanks for reminding me, I switched the fan around a long time ago, was curious if I would get better results, but I forgot to switch the fan back

All fans at 12Volt Load temp is now 37/8 Degrees That was 43 Degrees
All fans at 7Volt Idle temp is now 32 Degrees That was 38 Degrees

And this is a 3500+ @ 2750Mhz 1.51 Vcore

I feel pretty stupid now lol
