Hey guys. Since I broke two of the push pins on my Freezer 7 Pro (I could replace them if I wanted, but I'm planning on getting a TRUE for my Q6600).

I was just wondering if anyone had ever considered trying to mount a Freezer 7 Pro on an AMD CPU before, using some third party bracket perhaps? I took a look at the Freezer 64 Pro's mounting bracket, and it's clearly very different in design. I honestly can't think of any easy way to mount it, but I've always wanted to try a hardware mod, and I know it seems pointless since the Freezer Pros are so cheap, but I figure it's a good place to start.

If you guys have any suggestions or criticisms, I would be appreciative to hear them. Just throwing the idea out there, I think a Freezer 74 Pro would be pretty cool.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I'm freaking stupid, I listed that I had a Freezer 64 Pro. I have a freaking Freezer 7 Pro, I don't know what I was thinking when I typed this.

If i got it right, you want to mount a Freezer 7 pro meant for intel on AMD. :)
939 or AM2??

For 939, if you have mounting brackets similar to Thermaltake Big Typhoon, older Tt coolers or the TuniQ tower, then maybe you can mount it using the screws that come off the cpu bracket or the TuniQ like bolts/machine screws using the default metal backplate. :)
I don't have a Freezer here so cant say if the 'I'/'H' shaped plates will fit through the heatpipes.

Yes, it's a socket 939 system I'd mount it on.

I'm just not sure if there are any mounting brackets that would secure the base of this heatsink. Their proprietary bracket on the Freezer 64 Pro is a little strange.

Any more suggestions are welcome!

Maybe you can use the 939 bolt-thru kit for Thermalright Ultra120A. :)
You will have to file/grind and flatten or drill out the bulging dimple at the middle for it to sit flat on the flat top of the Freezer's base. :p:

That actually might work.

Also, I feel really stupid, see my first post, I accidently typed Freezer 64 Pro in the title and post, I meant Freezer 7 Pro, sorry! I see why you were confused...
