Either the single heatpipe really can't handle the X48, or it simply wasn't tested with a X48 yet. ;) I hope for you, that it's the latter.

the Heatminator from dfi has only one heatpipe too, like celemine1Gig says , simply wasn't tested with x48 chips, maybe u see some review from this cooler soon :up:

Are there any reviews on the chipsets already?
Im curious how it will preform. And can you mount a fan on it? I didn't found any info on that.

It would be nice for it to perform better than my stock NB HS, but really I'm just after similar performance with more clearance in the socket area...

I just prefer a solution that's ready to go right out of the box, but you're right, that won't stop me if I decide it's worth ~$31 shipped... :D
$25 + shipping is a bit much(IMHO); I'll wait till the egg either drops the price $5 or shipping becomes free.

its got rubber post for a fan....not sure what size....maybe 60 mm?

that heatsink is verry good for x48 it should be better than the hr-05 ifx
mind you i put a xigmatek 1283 on mine:D
