How well does the new fan on the N-bridge for the Ic7 cool?

Not too bad. I liked it enough to replace the stock HS on my P4C800. It's way better than that POS that came with the original IC7.

Nohto, I have one that I picked up for my IC7, it has a lot of surface area but I think I like the Thermaltake tiger 1 better. The tiger uses all four of the hold down rings and its been my experience that sometimes just using 2 like the new abit does that the hs will tilt on the nb core and not make 100% contact.
I changed out the abit hs with the tiger on my IC7 just last weekend to see if it would break my 292fsb limitation and I got no change.
Edit: definetly an improvement over the orginal POS IC7 nb hs

You probably would have dropped 1* if you replaced the thermal paste that comes from the factory ;) I'm thinking the new style Orbage may perform better than a TT Tiger, but I will test my theory soon.
The new IC7 Orbage is not going to fall off like the old ones, and two its pretty quiet. I have a Z block from DangerDen but I haven't installed it since the New style orbage seems to cool decently. I did replace that shtuff abit calls thermal paste/pad/gunk with some Arctic silver 3
I dont think they sit crooked at all despite being clipped in two places. And I can tell you its not falling off like the old versions did.

Silver, be careful with the Zchip, it snapped 2 of the hooks out of my old IC7. Make sure the hoses arent putting any pressure on the block. Give them plenty of slack.
I was playing BF 1942 one night and all of a sudden my computer crashed and it smelled like burning pancakes.

I just put a tiger 1 on my nb, temps went down about 1 or 2C. Like Silversink said, it could be just the replacement of that goo with AS3.

is Ceramique a better option than AS3?
I had AS3 on the orb and replaced it with Ceramique with no change in temps. Its a §§§§§ to apply, so maybe I need to get it thinner to see the effect.

The NB temp is NOT monitored !
On the IC7 your looking at the PWM temp, its located at RT2 adjacent to the cpu socket.
