phil, please do not take any offense to this but if you do not know how to do that then i would advise you to never flash anything.

there is absolutely NO reason to flash your video card's bios with something else unless 1) you KNOW for a fact the latest bios fixes some issues 2) you are doing some modding which if you asking this question i doubt you are 3) someone told you" oh god man you gotta do it

listen you dont need to flash the bios on your card, just use rivatuner to overclock the card and control the fan speeds (which you need to lock it to 100% or the card is gunna run hot (if your using an 8800 series or some 7800 series or 6800 series or even ATI series cards)

i have flash many many many cards with VERY LITTLE gain in overclocking. without modifying the bios with some tools, THAT is a bigger risk than anything you could ever do because the flash could fail using a modded bios. and if it fails,, your screwed,,, the only way to bring it back is by using a pci video card,,,, yes PCI,,,
i think i only had 1 card 1 time that resulted in an overclock that was much better than what i was getting.

if you cant make a thumb drive bootable just use a floppy,, all those pussies who say a floppy is dangerous are kids who never knew what it was like to do anything from a floppy,, a floppy is more safe in my eyes than a thumb drive because the floppy controller is a native part of dos where as USB needs bios and driver support (sometimes)

just use a floppy if you really want to do it so bad.

or goodle it,,, google for 'how to make a bootable flash drive' you will find tons and tons of info. there is only one tool that works 100% that is the HP drive utility.. search for it.

I've alreadey made it a startup disk, my question is how to flash videocard bios, I canflash motherboards like tomorrow, but video cards I have not flashed much, my cards are both water cooled, heat is not an isue, and the reason I ask this question, is because yes, I am doing hard mods on all my cards, but my bios are locked so a hardmod will not do me any good with unlocked bios, I can unlock the bios myself and already have the bunlocked bios files, but just seem to be missing something somewhere about making it flash the gpu's instead of the motherboard. Also thumb drive, floppy drive, I have both, so either way it's no thing to me.

There is a decent vid bios flash guide at tech power up. Just use caution and common sense and things usually go fine.

I do also need to know how to make a boot disk (floppy) that is flashing my now dead video card.... I am using a PCI card at the moment and have my PCI-E card in its slots.

My PCI-E card is the one who is dead... I can see the card in GPU-Z, and my computer sense it, and I could install ATI driver for it.
But I cant ge winflash to work now... the program is starting and goes to my process list, but I cant se the program on my screen.

It worked yesterday when I was using it, the I broke my card with power off in the middle of flashing.

So I will try and hope I can get a floppy that use some program to flash my PCI-E card in somehow... I have a original bios for my card here on my computer, all I need is som :banana::banana::banana: to get it in to my bios in my card...

I will buy some floppydisk tomorrow....
So what do I need to download and how to install it to a floppy thas is going to boot and flash my PCI-E Card...
My english is not so good so all guides that is in english is no use for me at the moment... I have try to read som and learn some...

So if anyone here know how to get a boot floppy that will flash my PCI-E card when I boot from that floppy and run som command lines maybe, feel free to answer how to and u are helping me alot.

If u are going to answer some moral :banana::banana::banana:, then plese dont answer at all, all I asking for is some help.

Thanks.

http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/vidcard/34 this is what I've found most people on here wont come outright and tell ya, they will suggest not doing it instead, but I kow that it needs to be done sometimes and this is the best tutorial out there, also, what card is it? if it is a 3870X2 then this method will not work, I have yet to find one that will, and am working on a utility specifically for the X2's but it's tricky, and will take a while longer to get the bugs out, so for now thats the best I have.
