I want to mod an Orochi

I have decided I definitely want an Orochi.
I would like to mod it. :D
Can someone tell me how the 'base plate' (the plate that gets the retention thingys screwed to) is attached to the rest of the heatsink?

how is what the red line is pointing at, attached to what the yellow line is pointing at?
