First time I had this happen, Memtest86+ froze at 9.2 hours, no errors just stopped progressing, none of the option buttons responded and hitting power didn't do anything, had to reset.
Just finished a 17 hour run yesterday at stock/rated settings using Mushkin 2x2gb 1600mhz DDR3 on an EVGA 790i and a Q9450 at stock speed. Had the ram at the low end of the suggested amount (they suggest 1.85-1.9v, had it at 1.85v)
Today I kept all the settings the same but changed the P1 and P2 options in the bios from Auto to Enabled, and after 9.2 hours it froze, noticed at around 10-11 hours (thats what I get for just glancing over looking for errors, the blinking "+" in Memtest86+ was still blinking too)
Question is, is freezing caused by the same things that cause memory errors, or should I be looking for a different solution?
Plan to try again tomorrow with the memory at 1.9v and the NB voltage up a notch or 2.
