How is 4.2GHz a WR on this chip? I can bench, on air, at 4Ghz....
Also, voltages are WAY high for those clock speeds...I can bench with 1.45v at Ghz...

Very Good Chip on Air at 4Ghz...

Maybe due to the low multi and being a quad it's very hard to get high FSB's??
I believe it's a great achievement by Ming@s:up:

Very good benching, mates, 531FSB is really good.
Many thanks for sharing a lot of info about the stepping/pcb code as well!!

Im half tempted to make a run at that once I get a better NB cooler.
Thks!

Go for it,you seem to have a great chip,give it a try:up:
I didn't know 780i could go so high,475FSb in a quad-core in a 780i which is basically a re-spin of 680i is great

Congratulations on the WR Ming@s , and as Pieter said thanks a lot for the info related to stepping/code ;)
@jas420221: You can really bench at 4GHz @ 1.45Vcore, AND on 780i ? Wow, that's good for you, 'cause we 're talking about a quad core that can do high fsb on air (if you don't have any cold-bug issues, you could crush the WR :)) with low Vcore ... hmmm, I can see the WR coming :D

Yeah, I will do it again and post some screenies (Im at work currently). Thing is, I am not a WR overclocking kind of guy. I NEED to keep this chip for at least a year or 2.
I would be willing to sell it to anyone that wants it for what I paid for it...$350.

Hey u haven't enabled the multi threading in wprime :)
go to advanced settings and type to that field 4 and run wprime, cuts times to an quater what they're now.
