I just installed my new q9450 in my p5k deluxe and idle temps are 40c and after 8 hrs of prime it is 60c. This is at on 425fsb 1.3125v what is the deal?

Well, is it really that high? I don't know what people expect out of these, and it's on air? And it's oc'ed
Mine is going all over the place, can range from 60-70C to 70-75C depending on the ambient.

Mine sits at 55c under load at 450fsb with 1.32v on water.
Measure those temps with RealTemp and you will be surprised ;) If they are that high with Real Temp, I would start to worry, in other case ... just take it as an assumption of your temp measuring software ...

Is this on water or air? For air, it's about right.

That is the scary part..... water cooled with 2x120 rad. I reset the water block 3 times and everytime the footprint was fine and no change.

How are the fans mounted on your rad?

I hoping its just the mobo not reading the sensors right. my e6750 at 3.8 never got above 40c load. i plan on getting a x48 mobo soon.
