open box x48 from newegg worth it??

thoughts?? anyone ever get one with everything or do they usually only come with just the mobo and box???

well they specifically state that it's only the mobo and the accessories are NOT included. it just makes me wonder where the accessories go if it's not included when the item gets returned to newegg...

I believe they state that so they don't have to verify everything is included.

yeah but imo what stinks is when some of these boards have external sound cards and a really different io panel cover that cant be replaced by other ones..im worried about the actual external sound module and the nb heatsink which would normally be separate, i dont see how they could not be included??

Just like the disclaimer says, it does not include any accesories even if they are required for the board to function...or something like that. every once in a while you order an open box and it is a complete retail kit, but don't count on it.

You could always call newegg and ask. I wouldn't let a missing sound card and I/O plate keep me from buying it if it's a really good deal. The I/O plate is not really necessary.... just don't use one. As for the sound card... probably junk anyway....

If you purchase this Open box product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE, meaning it is just the item itself. Accessory items are NOT INCLUDED with Open box products. Accessories are shown in the pictures so that customers will know what is missing from the item.

It sounds like they don't supply any accessory items.

I ordered a Dfi x38 board (open box) a couple weeks ago and received original box will absolutely all accessories.

Week before that ordered a Msi 8800 gts 512 and that also came with everything. I have ordered plenty open box items from newegg and they all came with everything originally included.

Maybe im just lucky:)

I have ordered open box mobos from Newegg and got all accessories with them too. Never had any issues. I think they just put that disclaimer there just in case anything is missing. The only thing I get worried about is the fact that there could possibly be issues with open box items and thats why they were returned; dont know, but I have had good luck in the past

i got a MSI 650i and i got just the board in a anti static bag and lots of packing chips....

Don't expect anything but the board but be glad when Newegg does send everything with it. Way too risky of a gamble for some.
