since ive posted a bunch of benches of highpoint rr3510 + 4x wd6400aaks..
i myself had 4 undetectable 6400s @ other controllers and have been asked on this matter..
note: bios 1.3 on the 3510 had no warning.. bios 1.4 includes warning
follow these steps to revert puis by writing zeros to drives
remove any drive that you have os/windows installed connected to the mobo
plug sata cables to mobos onboard native controller
start pc.. after all drives spin up.. disconnect cables @ drives from rr35x0
connect the cables from onboard to drives.. youve just hot-swapped
at this point have the hdd cd tools (ex: data lifeguard tools) loaded and run it
write zeros to drives.. restart pc.. detection inevitable
the proper way to enable puis is to jumper certain pins @ hdd per your manufacturer
make sure you jump the pins before enabling staggered spinup on any controller
that will save you from some headaches
this method works @ other controllers.. not just for the hpt rr35x0
if any Qs feel free..
