Curious so I went from 2x1GB DDR2 800 to 2x2GB DDR2 1000 and my windows rating under Processor went down from 5.7 to 5.6? Why would that be? Also stupid question but how much extra OCing bump if any would you get from 800 to DDR100

u most likly went from 800c4 to 1000c5 and to get the rating back up try 1) lower the timings to 5-5-3-15 or 2 oc the ram past 1000 to like 1080 or lower it wont need anything but 2.1V (if its the gskill kit)

Hmmm.....kinda odd.
(I never used a computer running vista that got under a 5.9 on the processor.)

I think the rating is nuts.
I only tried Vista on one machine.
A dual Harpertown with a 7800GTX and a single 36 gig raptor.
Showed 5.9 across the board but 5.6 for the HD.
No logic unless it's not rating by speed but my amount of storage

almost all quads get a 5.9 but duels only get to 5.8, and it needs like a 3.0-3.2ghz intel
and HD is sustained read

I think I had enough "juice" on the cpu's to earn the 5.9...:p:

Yeah the new sticks are G.Skill sticks. I'll admit OCing my ram I really have no clue. I miss OCing when it was scratching down fsb and multiplier and all that with my Barton lol.
So changing the ram timings OCs the Ram is what your saying. I'm curious I'm pretty much stuck at 334x9 with the firestix I had I'm using the same timings and voltage with the G.Skill but do you think I'd get a bit higher OC with the new ram or do you not think the firestix DDR2 800 was holding the chip back?

arnt fire sticks 2.2V u need to bump that down the gskill are powerchips they dont like more than 2.1V
and how would the fire sticks hold u back just use 1:1 those should have gotten u to 3.6GHZ without ocing the ram

LOL I can't say I know too many people to go to 3.6 with a e4300 especially on air http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1138241 I think your thinking of a E6600
And Firestix are/ my past 6 stix have all been 2.1v.
