2 Raid sets on 1 controller ?

Was just wondering if it was even possible to have any 2 seperate raid sets on one hardware based controller. Thanks

You have to read the specs for the card. It's on a lot of them but don't know about all. I mainly use what is termed 'higher end' cards here and they all have it (lsi, areca, adaptec)

I have run dual raid arrays on onboard for years. Shouldn't be a problem at all. I did it on Silicon Image as well as Nvidia controllers. I currently run an Intel controller but have cut back the amount of drives my system contains so only use 1 array now plus 1 larger single drive for backups/downloads.
