hynix vs qimonda chips

i noticed xfx used Hynix chips instead of the reference qimonda chips. does XFX mix up chips if different cards depending on whats available or do all the 8800gt (df4) have hynix memory.

would u say the hynix mem is overall better than the reference qimonda chips and rated for higher than 1000mhz?

The memory used on any model card is based off of availability and will always meet or exceed the reference design specifications. I don't have information in front of me on what memory is used on every revision of the 8800GT but I would imagine it has changed from revision to revision.
