I was wondering if anyone knew if the vcore of this mobo can go above 1.6v? I am unclear as to wether the new bios actually allows for a higher actual vcore, or if it just shows a higher value.
also does anyone know where to buy a 4pda2+ rev2 in the us?

I heard that they are not released for sale in US yet.

I wonder what the release date for the rev2 is in the us...would be nice to not have to do 2 mods on a p4c800-e. I don't understand why epox keeps neglecting the us market...there mobos appear to be the best, but you just can't get them.
What about the 4pca3+, anyone know about the voltage on that?

they've stopped the overvolting on the new bios.
because some boards couldn't do 1.7vcore
i have a max3 now, but the vdimm on the epox is rock steady compared to the max3

maybe I should get the 4pca3+ and use the old bios. How did it preform compared to your max3?

they're both good, i prefer the max3 as their customer support is better

Epox must be having financial trouble (or something) cause they have been really slow about getting new boards out and on the shelves.

no, EPoX isn`t having financial problems, but the resseller in the USA is out of order so we have to setup a new resseller and brandsoffice overthere and this is taking some time.
About the latest bios for the REV2.0 , it is going to Vcore 1.85 again(in the bios it displays realy much to low, in real it`s much higher, you can see it in the first link) The memvoltage is overvolting to 3.35volt and the max for the AGP/Chipset is 2.2volt(+0.7volt).
So more than enoug voltage to burn everything away what isn`t cooled enoug.;)
This is my 4PCA3+ with a P43.2 :

I`m working for EPoX Europe and we only sell to resellers but you can try to order one from your country reseller you can find here:

Do you have any idea when the rev2's will hit the us? I only know of axiontech and newegg selling epox 865/875 boards, are there any others?
oh, and what are the voltages on the 4pca3+ now?
I just noticed that newegg is currently out of stock of the 4pda2+. Would it be possible that when they recieve their next shipment it will have rev2's?

wait...there is a 4pca3+ rev2? I have not read anything about that...I think you may have missunderstood me...I was asking what the voltages for the 4pca3+ are now, not the 4pda2+ rev2...
but you don't know when the 4pda2+ rev2 will hit the us?

The man said, that he's from EPoX Europe... which part of that you didn't understand?!?
a.p.versteeg, is there a chance that you and Chris are coleagues? Or Danny? :D
They should be in Bulgaria this week, but I'm not sure that I can catch up with them.....

oh...so someone else posting in this thread is better qualiffied to answer that? That is something that he could possibly check on, maybe by asking a friend from epox usa?

yes I work daily with those guy`s, and I think that they only will be interested in women for this week.:D
About all the other questions in this topic,Yes I`m talking about the 4PCA3+ Rev.2.0 and the voltage in the bios are: 1.85max Vcore / +0.70mem / +0.70 AGP/chipset voltage. I have answered them all in this topic, so please try to read this topic and get your answers.;)

Yeah, that's them :)
Btw. - have you tried to make the board handle the Vcore more stable... I mean on the 4PCA3+ when I set it to 1.6V I get about 1.52-53V under load....

I was confused...when i posted this i did not know there was a 4pca3+ rev2...i have only read reviews on the 4pda2+ rev2. That is cool...i would prefer the 4pca3+, and the overvolt makes the voltages just that much better. This board sounds incredible...maybe it will get to the us before i lose my patients and buy a p4c800-e.

This depands from the rev. you have, whene I take a look in the bios I see lower voltage(cpu) line`s but when I check this with for example CPUZ or Sisoft I see that the voltage(Vcore) is much higher. So I think that the real voltage is higher than you can see in the bios, I think this because otherwise I`m stable with a good overclock with much less Vcore as default.

Well....... when you check it with CPU-Z it's not under load.... @idle my Vcore readings are good too.... around the mark you set it BIOS.... the real deal is when you start Prime95 or something else having the CPU run @100%..
Try the CPU-Z when Prime95 is running.....

do you see here the Vcore voltage, and this isn`t only set in the bios by +0.175 ?
Looks to me more than enough to burnup your cpu without any good cooling. I`m using a modded. Mach2(cascade with a vapochil), so for me it won`t be a problem to use this high voltage for a short time.;) i hope;)
That's not very healthy Voltage I should say :D

what is the benching preformance of this board like. I have not realy seen any comparisons...is it about the same as the ic7/p4c800 clock for clock? I don't care about mem bandwith because it means nothing, but wouldn't mind if someone knew about that and other bench score comparisons.

This is a sisoft bandwith 12x300 / 5:4

last time i checked, the ic7 has slightly better performance, but epox has released another bios with better memory performance. so dunno
when using ES chips on the ic7 max3 i can't get over 2.8vdimm!
sometimes i wish i had my 4pca3+ back to really push the ocz pc4000 gold
this is what i get at 265 fsb

any benchmarks that mean something? s-sandra is worhtless...how bout 3dmark2k1/3 or ut2003?
That is some high bandwith and thanks alot for the screen shots...I realy appreciate you trying to help me out...
and your pc4x00...it realy doesn't matter how far you can push it, because it will always suck. If you were at 300 fsb 1:1 with 3-4-4-8 with your pc4x00, and they switched to some nice khx3000 with bh-5, and went 5:4 with 2-2-2-x which is very easily done with 3.3vdim you would see a small drop in s-sandra and a huge jump in every meaningful benchmark. 3dmark2k1 would jump as much as 2000 points.
Those screenshots show just how good an oc'er the rev2 should be...with such low voltages you could hit 300 fsb, can't wait to see what this board can do with 1.85 vcore...
btw I see you got a nice psu mod going...I am gonna need to do one on my pcp&c 475w and my antec true 550w.

im using a geforce2ultra for now, and scoring 5k in 3dmark01. lol
yeah i was gonna get some xms pc3500, but was put off, because a guy had probs running them in his max3.
i'm just hoping that abit will fix several bugs in the new bios.

alright...gonna pick up a 4pca3+ tomorrow. Seems like it is on par with the ic7 and p4c800, and the new bios was suppose to make a good bit of difference...and it now has 1.85vcore, so that did it for me. I guess I could get a p4c800 for cheaper, but this way I have no vmods so that is good. I still gotta do vmods on my nf7 and vid cards, but that is one less piece of hardware to worry about frying.

where I live 4pca3+ is way cheaper than p4c800
gouda the board you bought which revision was it ?
I thought u could get 1.85V with rev 1.2 and even 1.0.
gouda96
09-20-2003, 07:28 PM
yeah you can, but I haven't gotten it yet. I was seeing some comparisons that were showing the p4c800 pretty far ahead of the 4pca3+....I am still not sure which board I am gonna get.

...talk about bring a thred aback from the dead :D
My first one was doa, and the second one will go under the prommy tomorrow. I have had it for like 2 months now, but I have been incredibly busy and haven't had time to mess with it. It didn't limit my oc with the stock cooler, but we will see with the prommy.
My procs are pretty crappy so I don't know how well I will be able to test this mobo's limits.

I had a rev2 was a dud, returned it got a 1.2 from newegg and running at 300fsb, but can only bench at 295fsb for now.
Will do some more testing this weekend.
