I just started using my new build, which meant I needed to transfer my files from my RAID setup to my new single drive. I had an extra hard drive sitting around, so I transfered my files from my RAID setup to that drive, then I copied the files from that drive to the new drive I am using now. Along the way many of the files were corrupted. Is there any reliable way to recover this files?

Hoi buddy,
Well i was in the same boat as you a while ago..
I had a power-cut and lost about 20GB of stuff; music, apps, games and more importantly i lost all my college work :')
I spent hours and hours downloading different file recovery programs.. must've installed at least 15..
anyway, cut the story short, the only thing the file recovery programs found on my KUT drive was .tmp's and then .exe's which when ran gave a runtime errror :')
Really pissed me off, so i just forgot about it and started again.
Now i back-up on dvd every week or so :')
Sorry couldn't offer you much help, but if anyone has a solution i'd love to know for future reference and stuff ^^

If Start -> Run -> cmd -> "chkdsk /R" does not work, then you're fresh outa luck. I too had this problem, but mine was less severe and it was only a part of one mp3 being fused into another one for a few seconds of the song after chkdsk "fixed" the errors.
