ST3640323AS with STR 115 and 32MB Cache. Here's the pdf link http://www.seagate.com/docs/pdf/datasheet/disc/ds_barracuda_7200_11.pdf So far the price I found is around $160. Google it, and only showed up 1 result.

sorry if this is very ignorant, but what is so special about this? you can get 500gb 32mb cache for $100

Looks promising, but I tend not to completely trust marketing propaganda from the issuing company.
I would like to see a head to head vs. the WD6400AAKS, which has been shown here and many reviews to perform admirably at about $115 for 640GB.
I doubt the performance of the Seagate is worth $45 (%40) more money, although they usually have 5-year warranty vs. WD's 3-year.

A larger cache does not necessarily indicate better performance.
You have to look at a variety of tests, STR, access times, real-world applications, etc...

The special thing is the 320Gb platters. Highest density platters available, if I'm not mistaking. This guarantees a very good performance(if they didn't screwed up anything :D ). Looking forward to a review

I've actually found Seagate (and most HDD manufacturers) to be truthful in their product release brochures. When your drive doesn't give the reported throughput, server admins notice and boycott you... and it's just not worth cutting off that market.
As for price, there's only *1* store in the Google domain that sells it - in Australia. I don't think we can assume that price will be anywhere near the American price when these things come fully to market.

The price will be lower and similar, and we will see the performance against the aak.
