How to get off?
I might of stupidly attached my cpu to heatsink with it lol.
So the cooler is attached to the mobo? If so you could try to freeze the mobo+cooler in a freezer or heat it with a heatgun.

well its attached to cpu so i could take the cpu off the board if needed.

AS adhesive is an epoxy so technically it's quite permanent. If you can remove the hs/cpu as one unit try taking a very thin blade (razor or similar) and work around the edges a little. After that you may be able to break the bond by forcefully twisting.

Very good. Could have just been not enough catalyst in the mixing. When I use that stuff on ram sinks I mix in an equal part of AS5 to ensure easy removal later.

sell it on ebay as a combo <evil laugh>!
jk
as mentioned, try cooling it down a lot. freezer, maybe even dice, then tapping it with a sharp hit from something solid, like a hammer. not a strong hit, but something quick.
do this as close to the base of the heastink as possible. maybe use something to focus the blow to the base of the heatsink, or maybe even use a razor and hit that.
ether way, not a nice situation :(.
if that doesn't work, working a razor blade between the heatsink and cpu is another option, but try to be careful for both yoru fingers and overstressing the board.
edit: I see that you've gotten them seperated.
You could try dissolving the stuff, but epoxy isn't usually very dissolvable by any solvents you'd have laying around, so it looks like you'll have to lap them.
To make your life easier, scrape as much of the stuff off as possible first, then lap them normally and use normal goop next time.

I was able to remove the epoxy residue by soaking my memory sinks in goo-gone for 20 minutes, scraping off as much as posiible, then soaking it in isopropyl alcohol. The alcohol actually removed most of it. *shrugs* It still was a pain.
Removing it from your cpu IHS on the other hand.... *shrugs*

try acetone. or if its the cpu you could always sand it a bit and the stuff comes right off then you would also lap it at the same time lol.. but acetone usually works just clean it with 90% or higher alcohol
i find the case usually with as adhesive is it usually just comes right off after a while
