View Full Version : Low-restriction CPU block replacement for EK Wave?

I typically build high-flow, low-restriction systems with overkill radiator size and low-CFM fans for ultra quiet operation. It seems like every time I find a great low-restriction block it gets discontinued.

Sadly the EK Wave is now unavailable and replaced with a nozzle-based block with high restriction. What block should I switch to? I'm not in love with Danger Den stuff. The D-Tek Fuzion 2 looks pretty restrictive according to Martin's XLS. The Alphacool Nexxos XP might be OK but its copper matrix is so tightly packed that it looks like it will gum up and require cleaning sooner than other designs.

How about the Enzotech Sapphire? Though I prefer a plexi top so I can verify I've gotten all the bubbles out of the corners of the block.

Any ideas appreciated.

Last I heard the Enzo was a very close rival to the D-Tek Fuzion, it is pretty much a replica albeit much better looking

The DD MC-TDX, Fuzion V1 without washer, XSPC X2O Delta, XSPC Edge Acrylic are all very close and extremely low restriction.

I haven't tested all of them, but the Edge was very slightly better than my V1 on my lapped dual core.

all of martinm's answer are good for multiple blocks loop... or you just might need to replace your pump...
