hey guys its ben

i have done alot of research on watercooling (thanks for the faqs guys)
but i have a question about mounting radiators on the back of th case

i have a thermaltake armor case and a msi k9a2 platnum so i can mount my 7600 gt in 4 pcie slots but i eventually will want to go with quadfire

i am doing my first watercooling loop in june and ive been specing out alot of loops but every time i ask myself will the radiator interfere with the pci slots specificallly dvi which is a pretty big cable and i want to get a 360mm radiator

i know that they make the radbox that extends it out but will even that interfere with the dvi cables?

thanks for your help guys

also u can try use 2 radbox or home made cheap holders

well i also have these screws that have bolts with them that i used to mount one of my delta 38mm fans on that are about 38mm themselves i supposed i could couple a gutted 120mm case thingey (the outer part of the fan idk what its called) to a radbox but i prefer a cleaner approach

*****edit******
another question, with the ek multioption 250 res can i use any of the 4 1/4" sockets as an inlet or an outlet?

Or mount on top. With an Armor you can always mount in Front...which I think not only looks nicer, would be great ariflow to boot.

I think you can move the radbox around quite a bit:

It has lots of holes to put the screws in, so you can slide it sideways a bit, I think? I've never used one before. Anyway if you do use the radbox you will be limited to one monitor connector I guess.

what do you mean by i am limited to using one monitor connector? the radbox itself should not be obstructing the dvi cables it would be the radiator

i have my one of my 38mm deltas mounted on the outside of the case were the radbox would go and it does not obstruct either of the dvi ports

i have i have 7 of the 11 drive bays occupied at the moment with fan and light controllers

Hmm cant cut that number down? Streamline? Light controllers? Hmmm.

Just my suggestions, but it would solve all your issues right now. I am biased though...I dont like the rad hanging off a case lol so I preach internal.

no I mean, when it hangs directly down, you can move the radiator sideways so it's not blocking both dvi ports, which are next to eachother. So if you move it sideways a bit it might clear up a connector.. or for that matter one connector on all 4 videocards if youre at that point.

i was at first considering an internal mount i can cut down them to fitting the 360mm because i am goint to get an mcube 2 balancer that would potentially controller all of my lights and fans and the pump

the problem with that is i dont know if the lian li 5.25 inch radiator adapters will work in my case

oh i see what you are saying but what about the motherboard io?

You can always mount it sideways. Wont look real good...but will help with the connectors I reckon.

I've got a GT Stealth 360 mounted in the front of my case taking up all but 2 of the 5.25" drive bays, 2 pumps mounted in front of it with custom brackets and a PA120.2 mounted onto the back with a radbox. Everything fits really well in the Armor, no interference with anything.

I'm not sure if you'll be able to see the pictures but I did a build log on the SLizone forum a while ago showing how everything is mounted

The way I mean it you'd move the radiator away from the io plate, so that shouldn't be an issue.

does anyone know if they make angle dvi cables?
also i am looking for a pci backplate (like the acryan ones) that has 3-6 3pin fan connectors but i want them to be wired indivudally because i am going to be getting the mcube tbalancer and i wan independant controll of all of the fans on the radiator
