im not sure as to how "good" it is but one thing is sure..its a damn nice looking fan!
how do those noise ratings compare to actual noise produced?

1600rpm and only 38CFM ? Something is very wrong there. Most decent 1600rpm 120mm fans will push around 60CFM

How do these really perform? They look more like show than go from what I can see with the specs.

noise rating is also kinda suspicious at those speeds...unless thats on a controller @ low speeds:confused:

Looks great but is not a performing fan I would use with such a low CFM. Especially on rads when you need the air pressure. Too bad though because it does look really nice and I would have bought a case of them if they only performed better by at least 2 fold.

When are people going to realize that comparing fans through manufacturers' specs is pointless? Unless they're all tested with the same equipment and in the same environment, it means nothing. There are even manufacturers that straight-up lie about their specs. There's a reason why Vapor's work is so great and helpful.

Think I'll stick with my "Yate's"....
Word...
Until something else is tested...Yates are my top choice for good, quiet, cheap, airflow.
Good/best performance isn't supposed to be looking cute. ;)

Couldn't agree any less. Look at those sanyo denki's :shakes:
Those xthermal fans look really good though.

There is mistake in info. This fan has 1200rpm, not 1600rpm ;)
I use 6 xthermal fans on my tc pa120.3 - and they are good. I have compare with: NB XL2 rev.2 and rev.3 and xthermal are the quiest, performance the same like rest.

First, the only reviews I can get to work from your link, Malik, are storefronts "reviewing" the fan....not exactly an unbiased set of sources.
Then..1200 rpm, 38 cfm and 13dBA (? 13dBA....almost SilenX territory ;) ).....and a sleeve bearing. All at a premium price, given what that UK computer shop wants per fan (approx. $20 U.S. ea., converted from 10 pounds British per fan.)
Thanks, but I'll keep my Scythe S-Flex and Ultra Kaze fans.

They sure are pretty...who said a good performing fan can't look good :slapass:

Tell me about it. I have a bunch of the red led 120mm SilentX fans and let me tell you they are not 14db. The only way they can be 14db is if they were off and I was turning them by hand... Mind you I still like them as they do push the air but factory listings are always off as their methods of testing are not universal.

Saying its 'good' doesn't really cut it, we want hard scientific evidence.

looks nice ... but can it keep up with other 'normal' fans?
