How much will this 120mm Aluminum Fan Filter (http://www.petrastechshop.com/12alfanfisi.html) restrict air flow?

How long can you wait? :p:

How long can you wait? :p:

For what? Are you going to test it in the round 3?

I can wait until I have the answer to my question. :)

I've a few and other kinds too. Those gives very high air flow, but = can't cover a of the dust, so you don't have to clean them much. LOL.

Since Round 1 I've considered doing a mini-test of various filters. Now's as good as a time as ever I guess :)

Still have one more fan to order from Petra's when they get it back in stock, will get a bunch of fan filters then too (though I have a few already--just not that one).

when you do the filter tests could you include some getto type, like panti hose, screen door screen, swiffer sheets, etc.?

I really like the test chamber CD made for you, top notch!. also, are you testing for how much resistance or how well they clean or both? I would be very interested to see how much dust they are capable of stopping.

Just resistance.

Logistics of dust are too tough. Will consider ghetto :)

Never used em. I just clean often. :)

Just something quick and dirty, place tape on the exhaust side of the fan and slowly dribble say a level teaspoon of talcum or some similar item into the filter/ input side of the fan, then just take a photo of the results.

If a filter has great flow but doesn't stop any dust than it is really just a finger guard.

Excellent. It'll definitely be worth the wait.

Hadn't thought of it, but I suppose I could :p:

AeroCool Turbine testing done, on to YL D12SL-12, Noctua P12, probably some 1800-2000RPM fan, and then a Panaflo U1.

Okay, glad I'm testing various types of fans, results do vary from one kind to the next. (and the P12 has me downright confused)

I'm looking forward to this. Got my fingers crossed that the aerocools perform as good as they look. (Oops, forgot it was filters not fans.)

I redid the tests on the newer testbed and the data makes more sense now, which is good :)
