Hmm, I'd say anything is fair as far as new additions from work/school/family/friends that aren't already folding. So in the spirit of trying to get more done for the cause, no simply changing user names on machines that are already folding ;)

THAT is so true! I started folding around 2004 (on damn slow systems) but was lurking around xtremesystems just 2 years ago, now I only wish there was a way to change teams with taking all my points/wus with me...

But to get back to topic: a race! Yes, isn't this just in the spirit of this fine community we have here? :clap: And in the end, producing more wu is always good.. kind of a win-win situation..

Yea my estimate I will be at 1 mil in about 20 days maybe a little less I average in the high 5k range ppd and only have just over 120k to go. And if I crank up the over clock a little more or fire up the old P4 I might be able to get into the low 6k range for ppd. With the cool weather we have been having I could raise my oc from 3k to 3.321k and make it over 6k ppd if needed :)

The other team kept all the points and we as a team #36362, founded by pythagoras, had to start all over again, from zero. So points didn't mean "anything". It just took about three (IIRC) years to overtake the team which kept credits since the divorce.

A friend of mine travels as often as she can to Sweden and Finland, she's going on festivals as a photographer (and fan of course) and the only thing I hear her say everytime is that she never met people as friendly and amiable as there, so Drunkenland must be a hell of a place to live! :)

Dunno. I only use a single SMP client. Maybe once I get around to sending my CPU in to AMD to hopefully fix this rather annoying no-boot and random freeze issue I can try it then. But currently at stock speeds of 2.3GHz I get ~1700-1800PPD (depending on WU) with a single SMP client.

Hey sorry, things just kept hangin (wouldn't get a new WUs, etc, etc...) so I shut them off for when I was out of town, which may be somewhat frequently this summer. I'm going to clock everything back to stock with the exception of my main rig. Hopefully they'll all be back up by tonight.

OK I just lost 4 units that were 100% completed becuase of network timeouts, and my network connection was fine. I'm sory but I just can't deal with this anymore, until they get a client that doesn't need to be babysat all the time I won't be contributing. I didn'trealize how much time I was spending keeping everything running until I wan't around to do it anymore. I may look into WCG or soem other project or I may just sell all my stuff, not sure yet.

I guess I'm lucky, I don't usually have issues with the clients :shrug: although I only run one SMP client and that is on my main PC that I use a lot.

Did you give your systems static IPs? I found that when the router refreshes the IP it can trip up the SMP client. Setting a static IP alleviates that issue.
