What happened to all the stat tracker things in signatures? I also can't access folding.extremeoverclocking.com to get my stats.

What's the dealio?

Site failure. The stats in the sigs are through that site and apparently they are either having issues or the site is down for maintenance and/or upgrades. It'll be back soon most likely.

Most likely upgrades. There were still a few components to be changed out on the new server. Perhaps they've been installed and things are in a state of migration...no telling. Whatever it is or was, I'm sure it'll be announced once EOC is back up.

as fast as his stats already are, I cant imagine once he re-writes everything and then hosts it on that scalding new server box... it's gonna be a real screamer.

In the meantime, you can also check stats at Kakao (http://kakaostats.com/tsum.php?t=36362).

And IIRC... he was surprised how much rework in the code there was going to come in order to apply the new features planned.

Well, an hour or so after posting that, stats came back.

Look at my user title... Nubcake Folder. I don't remember seeing something like that happen before, so I got worried. I'm compulsive about checking my progress. Way to get me started Sparks...

That an ex - Minister of Information of Iraq. When the war in Iraq started (with
Saddam still in power) he was giving daily briefings on IRAQ TV, which were not always "accurate" but certainly entertaining.

I just don't remember what that error code is. Should be able to find codes from faqs though, maybe giving a hint of the problem. Usually it's just matter of ocing.

No, the page wouldn't load anything for me. I would get the "This page is taking too long to respond" message from Firefox.

Jason over on EOC made an announcement about the problem yesterday seems to have been a hdd problem which after a power down and reboot came back to life so to be safe he did a full back up of the stats and forum databases and took the stats down to save on resources while making the backups. He said the stats updates should be back to normal with the 12 noon cst update.

Yep it was. The EOC site went down over the weekend. I'm wondering if he had issues with that drive again that he mentioned back on the 14th. That's OK, today all the stats updated and caught up so we will have a HUGE day today due to running a couple days all into one :D

Actually, it wasn't just the EOC server as many have thought. My wife actually ran across the real culprit (http://www.allheadlinenews.com/articles/7011131199) Sunday morning. At least all is good now. :) Fold on!!

An explosion Saturday evening at a Texas-based, privately held server hosting provider has caused server outages effecting 9,000 servers and 7,500 customers.

According to The Planet's website, at about 5 p.m. Saturday electrical gear shorted, creating an explosion and fire that knocked down three walls surrounding their electrical equipment room.

No injuries were reported and no servers were damaged or lost.

The Houston company, which provides servers for small and medium sized companies, said it has its entire support team working around the clock to get the servers back on line.

They estimate they will be up and running by Sunday afternoon.

Lol, my girl ordered one of these anime figurines then their site went down and she already was like "ooh noes they took my money and now they're gone".. until we found out the server was hosted at this very same data centre...

I mean outages are pretty normal but an explosion?! Do I smell bad maintenance?
