I know that ATITool and Rivatuner can adjust LOD, however I'd like to know precisely HOW they go about doing it. I have an idea in my head and while I'm proficient at coding, I don't even know where to start with this. Is this within the DirectX API, Windows registry, or black magic? I know asking for source code is typically bad practice but does anyone have source code for apps that do this? After thinking about this I imagine LOD along with frequency settings are all on the driver level? If I can get enough information I've got a test I'd like to perform. Any help would be great :D
