I just got a XFX 780i and i cant watch videos, i get the same artifact/video problems that EVGA 780i and other models around 750i.

I know theres a lot of fuzz about this in evga forums(link: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=253891 ) 35k visits, 33 pages of forum tears and stuff.

I know nvidia is probably the problem but i wanted to know if anyone from xfx is aware of this.

I have heard of the issue but haven't seen an XFX customer with it. I will team with my engineers to find our more and get back with you shortly. Go ahead and also start a support ticket at www.xfxforce.com and let me know the ticket number.

Some details about your PC would be great... I have no issues with my setup for the record.

Thats as most as i know about my pc, yea sorry about not posting that, just wanted to know the official XFX opinion or position about this as i do not hope a solution will be given by looking @ my hardware, but why not this is XS not just some EVGA forums(im not kidding here)

We are aware of this issue and are working together with NVIDIA on the issue. We expect a resolution in the not too distant future. Unfortunately, for the meantime we do not have a work around. As soon as we have a resolution for you guys we will link it here.

Its great to know your not recommending a fresh install, driver update, no internet connection and not windows update in the procces like some EVGA support tech's have done(proven to not fix the problem and take a couple of hours/days from the customers). Hope the solution is easily applicable to XFX products just like any other brand and with no delays!

Kudos

I assume you tried other drivers correct? How about 3rd party drivers? (grasping at straws here)

Of course, all of the latest one and even the bets... i use this pc for crunching and playing, with this driver i can do that.... but still had to comment the problem is also available in XFX products(every 780i and 750i is probable capable of developing this problem atm).

First i though it was my overcloacking or some temp problem, but after a couple of days spended on testing diferent stuff and reading, i decided to wait for an official fix

eVGA just released yesterday P05 bios (for 780i) that will fix video corruption... I think xFx will release itself P05 bios in the next few hours... it's just a question of hour!! :)

The 780i P05 BIOS should be up on our site very soon. Anyone who needs it in the meantime though can PM me and I will get it to you. I would just attach it but the max file size for attachments is too small.
