Help me choose dell 2707wfp or Samsung 275t plus

I'm stuck between these two monitors.I know they use the same panel...

But overall what would be the better buy (primary uses gaming,movies)

dell's look nicer but samsung has hdmi

both have the same panel, 27"WS Samsung S-PVA (LTM270M1), but on the specs the 2707 doesnt have HDMI? the samsung does, same ms, 6ms (GTG), both have same viewing angles 178/178, but the dell can swivel, but i would choose the samsung since it has hdmi input, would be better for xbox 360 and both have a 3 year warranty and on the specs it says the samsung has a 500 cd/m2 while the Dell has 450 cd/m2, but im not sure on prices?

I haven't used the 2707 but I own the 275t....

I am 90% happy with it and the other 10% I am relatively certain the 2707 can not fix. I'd go with the 275T-plus ... plus meaning speaker bar.

I've worked in a computer store and i know that the rma from samsung SUCKS. If it dies you will have to wait very long before it's fixed and have it returned to you.

The dell looks nice and i'm pretty certain there are many options to cope with the missing hdmi port.

Better to link you than try to explain it all here. I started a thread on HardOCP (im Battle_Rattle there as well) about input lag. HardOCP is down at the moment but its called "Input Lag - A Discussion"

I game alot and I know that people can and do get a 30ms drop on me in FPS. Considering human reaction times are minimums of 120ms+ it doesn't totally bother me, but it bothers me enough to call it 10%. Call it a mental defect but I would like the monitor to be perfect.

Thats a plus for the DELL probably... although i have had no problems at all with the 275t

Seeing that the 3007WFP HC does so well I'm gonna search for 1 of those, the 3008 lags terribly but the 2408 is the worst of all laggers...

Exactly....

Test for it and it is there... do not know about it, and you do not even notice. This input lag discussion is about as placebo as one gets.

Case in point... all testing shows Dell 3008 has it, yet Prads review calls it subjectively very good (they don't test for input lag properly, only ghosting.)

That depends entirly on what you value and how a hardcore gamer you are. Some people don't want even the slightest kind of lag or ghosting when they play fps games. It's up to the user how picky you are.

If it's the same panel, I'd go with the Dell for the looks, and apparently better warranty from what previous posters said. Depends on the price as well, what is the difference?

I think the samsung is $25-$50 cheaper @ most

I'd suggest the samsung simply because it's cheaper. Same panel same difference IMHO.
