Dell 2405FPW or newer monitor?

I have the opportunity to get a Dell 2405FPW for relatively little money from a friend, for around 350 - 400 USD.

Do you recommend that I get something newer, such as the new 2408WFP? From what I have read, the 2405 was quite a good monitor and still is. I have another 19" Samsung Syncmaster 960BF that I plan to use for gaming anyways, in case my hardware can't take the 24".

I'm not a Dell fanboy in any sense, I just think it's a good monitor and it's a PVA panel for little money. Any other suggestions?

Thanks, only thing is that I'm looking for at least a 24" monitor. I'm getting bored of watching movies on a non-widescreen 19".
