I need some basic help please.

Goal: To load a Windows XP CD for unattended install (fresh) into a New PC

I downloaded and ran Deployment tools (setupmgr)
I renamed unattend.txt to winnt.sif

Now do I simply make an ISO copy of my XP CD and copy the unattend MS-DOS file along with winnt.sif into the root directory of the XP ISO ?

Erm...why are you bothering with that? NLite (http://www.nliteos.com/) is everything you need.

stick the winnt.sif in the I386 dir.

Nlite is ok for unattended but the setupmgr allows you to use far more switches that nlite doesnt have. If you read the help guide that comes with setupmgr theres alot of things you can set.
