I am going to install a BR/HD-DVD player in my daughters rig. Have a DVI to HDMI cable to hook to her plasma tv. Now, can I have the comp monitor cable and the dvi hooked up at the same time? also audio, she has a set of Logitech 5.1 speakers hooked to rig, how do I run audio to TV? I have a movie rig of my own, but it is hooked directly to my tv so not sure how to do one hooked to monitor and a tv. Thanks for any help here.

HDMI carries Audio and Video, not sure I would go with HDMI into the TV from the Vid card. Does the TV have DVI? If the Vid card has Dual output capability, then yes you can leave it connected to the Monitor and the TV at the same time.
If you are going to play the movies on the PC... you don't want to run Audio to the TV... just let it play through the 5.1 speakers, unless they are in a different room?

I have one set up already using DVI to HDMI cable. Picture is awesome. I know HDMI carries audio, but this is DVI to HDMI. Have to have audio to tv. May just get a splitter for output port on soundcard. Running a 7600GT which has 2 DVI outputs.

Yea, I know they have 2 DVI ports, just not sure if all cards have the Dual output capability, 7600GT should.
Logitech 5.1 have a digital input? You could use the digital out for them and then the analog to TV.

That may work.

Better yet....if Logitech doesn't have digital input...Some new TV's do have optical digital (Dad just bought Hitachi that does) so you could do vice versa as well.

TV has optical port but sound card does not. Using XFi xtremegamer.

Onboard have optical out?
2 sound cards gets slightly tricky...but is an option. :)

Yes, P5B Deluxe. But not gonna try to go that route. Too much conflict.
