Currently, i have a equipment that doesn't function correctly.

I tracked down to a dark (perhaps burntish?) resistor, I decided to desolder it and check it with a multimeter, but it came out with the correct values. Perhaps I'm not putting it under load or something, but should I still have it replaced (but it takes a long time to get it delivered.

Older resistors are generally dark brown, as long as the center isnt noticeably darker than the outsides and it dosent smell burnt its fine. And a good indication of this would be it reading the correct value. I see little need to replace it.

You could also check the input and output voltages to verify the resistance.

Can't, this is for a TV, I dun wanna get electrocuted lol.

Anyways, I think it is indeed wrong, read the color band wrong haha. Supposed to be 1Ohm, but was 1.7Ohm instead.

btw, this was a bright green carbon resistor, and has black unremovable residue on it.
