DVD drive MOD!

Having a bit to much time on my hands this week, and my case (lian li 343) is being powdercoated black inside and anodised green on the outside as i type! :P , i decided to give some of my components a little tlc to match the cases new color. Ill do the talking above the pics

That looks great.

Is it a dumb idea to try to paint a dvd drive with the panels attached to the drive itself? Can I just tape up the front and whatnot and spray, or are there any holes I should be cautious of?

yeh mate u need to take it out of the case, not hard jus a few screws

sorry mate missunderstood what your saying thought meant leaving it in the case and spray lol :rolleyes: . yeh you can do that jus gt some maskin tape and paint and your away

Imo grab one of the Lian Li bezels and have that anodized green to match the outside of the case. Just my $0.02 though, but I agree you did a very good job on the painting.

one step ahead! :D im using one of those lian li stealth drives, its being anodised green to match the case, check out the project log just started; http://www.overclockerzforum.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=125&t=3239 , after josh owner of http://www.overclockerzwatercooling.com/ , has finished i will take over, got few things lined up! ;) :rolleyes:
