so I bought a CM 831

I guess since I got it for so cheap I can't complain, its my mistake. I didn't realise it didn't come with the 4fan bracket for the side. No probs though, I can buy one from the store.

my reason for this post though is a few things,

1) will the fan bracket fit the case ok?
2) does the fan bracket come with everything I need to install 4 fans to it?
3) anything else I should be buying from the store?

Looks to me it doesn't include the black screwless holders but you should still be able to put in fans with screws through the clear piece.

It doesn't appear as though the bracket includes these which snap in to the clear plastic piece from your above picture. I think that you can simply screw your fans into the clear plastic though.

The black thingies you see in the pic posted above. the allow you to install fan in front of case, in top, and in that clear plastic "inner door", without any screws or tools.

@Runner, you this gentleman have something in common (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=2809046&postcount=43), except his is 832 but I believe is the same chassis.
So the holes should fit the same.

If you look closely, some of his fans have a clear duct...those have screws in to secure to the fan.
The fan without clear ducts, you can see they are snapped into the fan holder (black plastic)...while the fan holders (black plastics) are held by the clear fan case door...which you held also by snaps.

So do I need to buy the four slot fan holder + four black fan holders? It looks like those fans with a clear duct are screwed into the fan and he has four of the fan holders as well.

you may have to talk to someone on that site, coz it says:
Toolles fan brackets and fans NOT included!

So I interpret that as the clear tray only...no black fan bracket:(
