I'm almost about to pull the trigger and buy a TJ09 case but have a couple of questions for those that have this case...

1. Does the mid fan (factory installed one) direct air over NB and RAM?

2. If the mid fan doesn't direct air over NB and RAM what options are there as this is really my only concern with this case?

Thanks in advance

1. Does the mid fan (factory installed one) direct air over NB and RAM?Depends entirely on where NB and RAM are on your mobo. The mid-intake covers on a standard ATX board from the bottom of the PCB to the first expansion slot.

2. If the mid fan doesn't direct air over NB and RAM what options are there as this is really my only concern with this case?If the fan isn't quite right, I still wouldn't worry overly. With the two top and one rear exhaust fan you get plenty of airflow, which combined with the fact that the HDDs and PSU are isolated from the rest of the system means you get nice cool air flowing over your mobo :yepp:

I love my TJ-09, wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

+1.

Bags of room inside my monster TJ09. On a Maximus, it covers the space between my RAM/top 3870/slightly into bottom 3870.

As Souls said, 2 top 120mm fans punch a fair bit of air flow in, plenty of cooling :)

try to change the mid fan to fm 121, its a bit hard but its worth it, and in case you still lack some air, go grab some antec spot cool i saw some one put 3 pcs of them inside a case

you might want to look at the Antec P182 great case all around

Thanks guys for the response, 393 is now Talbo due to forgetting my password and not being able to get it reset.

I've ordered the TJ09, I think overall it's go the best balance of everything. I'm thinking I might use the 2 x 120mm fan slots at the top, 1 as an exhaust (closer to the rear) and 1 as intake (closer to the middle).

Err, you mean the two top fans, one as an intake and one as an outlet? Yeah that will achieve next to nothing as they will short circuit each other. Never fear, this case has air cooling down, with 3 outlet fans(rear/top) you get a nice flow.

Only thing this case isn't hot for is liquid cooling, but its manageable.

P.S. Also its sexy as all hell:), love mine to death

I thought that might happen too, but I'm going to make the intake point more towards the mobo by putting spacers in the left fan mounts

the mid fan cools well the mid NB and ram, and videocards. its the best air cooled case i own.
try to put a mid air fan in the mid seccion, like acryan blackfire 4 or yateloon dh-12h

In addition to the factory mid fan?

Or replace the one that is there, the Silverstone fans are really not all that great.

Pretty impressed by this case. Has done what I wanted which is lower my temps whilst allowing me to fit side cover and bring noise level down.

Probably not built as good as the Lian Li PC61 I was using before but definetely up there.

What have you guys done in regards to cable management, My Corsair HX520 has a short 8 pin connector and the only way I could get it to reach the top of my MF was to rout it over the expansion slots?

Pics? From the description it sounds like you could run that underneath the mobo and bring it out the top of the mobo.

I haven't got the camera with me at the moment, but I would have to extend that cable by 50-60mm at least to be able to run it underneath.
