hey guy i got my self a gfroster 2.0 and i tryed to get a hold of the maker to find out if the transformer that i have for it will work. now in the manual it says that the transformer has to be 15 to 18 volts AC at 1 amp but i have a transformer that is 15 volts AC by 1.4 amps will this work or will i have to find a different one as i don't want to put to much amps to it or will it just draw the amps that it needs

Nope that should be fine, a 80A 12V rail on a 1600W power supply doesn't force 80 amps into your computer. Amps are by need :)

The 1.4A tranny will work fine, it just means it can supply more current than the G-Froster needs.
LCD screens are cheap as chips, not sure where you would get them in Canada, if you were in the US I'd say Fry's would have them at a guess. Not sure if it's as easy as just a straight swap, in a way it's a shame we don't see Sscilencer around anymore.

so what you are saying is that the guy that makes them is not around any more so if i want a different color lcd then i will have to find one and do the work my self

Yes the guy that did most of the work on xs in regards to the G-Froster, (he didn't actually make them) had an altercation with some people here apparently, bla bla long story, not really any of our business.
I have I'M'ed him to ask if I can give you his details, but I may or may not get a reply. Otherwise, Gsmaster may help you. He'd know.
Not all LCD's use the same interface, there are common ones, but you will need to make sure you get the right one, then you may be able to just "swap it over"

I have a reply and you have PM.
Seems the person in mention is still around, just not very active at the moment.
