C1 quads can run at higher FSB than C0 quads.

Really? Wow that's interesting. I've been holding out on a quad for that very reason.
Do you have any links to results?

Would love to see that, but really doubt if that's the reason for C1 stepping,
Requires still a golden chip for 500FSB under air or water...as I've seen some C1 results and they didn't impress me at all... till now Runawayprisoner has a good CPU being rockstable at 475 and even beyond... suicide shots however mean nothing to me...
We should have some Qx9770 next week , no idea what stepping they will be...

So far all ES QX9700's have been C0, but retail versions are C1.

There are C0s that can run 500MHz FSB as well ;)

Nice. What type of vcore did that take? Is it stable or just a validation? Either way that's pretty cool.

Not enough C1 at 500? ;)

And... the Q9450 seems stable, but I need a better PSU (a more stable one) to confirm that.

i've already got a c1 retail but didnt share results since i'm not really into fsb overclocking.
my L803B328 c1 retail QX9770 is hopeless under subzero but does 450 fsb easy. didnt test further.
