Get your fans off of the rad, unmount the rad from the case, fill a bucket with ice and water, and put the rad in the ice water (WITHOUT FANS!!!). I tried it and it works great.

Edit: Ill post some temps later today.

Be very careful because if condensation gets around your motherboard... zzzttttt psttttt Zappp!!!!

lol. ghetto mod. although it seems interesting and fun to try, one must add excessive tubing from his pump to the radiator and from the rad to the blocks, in order to allow you to put them in a bucket.

The way my build is going i doubt ill be able to have any excessive tubing, cause things are tight as is.

but gief pics, and results. both with fans, and bucket of ice.

also, if u want to try u can even submerge the rads in that bucket/pan and them situate them inside a freezer. that would be nice :D

What about this.
Mount a radiator to the floor of the case then underneath the case by the legs, have a slot for an icecube tray.
This way the radiator sucks in nothing but cold air.
Everyday, remove the tray, put in a new one.

Or better yet, move to alaska and never worry about temps again lol

I already have a bunch of tubing, so it worked for me lol. Ill get you guys pics later today, or early tomorrow. Lol, the freezer part is going overboard. Im not drilling holes in my freezer for good temps, I rather spend some money on ice cubes...

HEY! Another great idea! Lets fill the loop with ln2!!!!! Lol jk.

It will SUCK cold air, not be submerged in ice cold water.

but when you have a hot cpu and gpu loop and you`ll raise V,the water will be warm in notime...

What about this:

Use a liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger running ice water in one channel? More effective than using a liquid-to-air heat exchanger with two liquids!

Or, run the liquid through a phase change freezer. You could drop the water temps to near freezing (0C). Core temps would be below ambient at load. You would have to protect the MB for condensation.

There is no problem having the cooling device a long distance from the CPU, as long as the pump has enough power to overcome the fluid resistance and the line is insulated so that the coolant doesn't heat up.

Or even in NC in the summer. Would work fine in the winter, however.

I think the record where I live is 118F or about 48C. Not all americans are in nice cool climates. They say "at least it's a dry heat" around here but, when you can cook an egg on some foil on the sidewalk, it's too hot.

@OP, just build a chiller, you'll never go back.

Fill it with dye ice next time :D

and acetone instead of water in the bucket, just make sure you have denatured alcohol in your loop.
