I am looking to upgrade my old computer.
And since i was planning to run SLi eventually iw as really interest and loved the idea of buying the new evga 790i ultra motherboard, to run with either an Q6600 or E8500.
I am new to system building , only built 2 systems so far, and i do not plan to OC atm. Will be running everything at stock speeds.
I saw this thread earlyer and now i honestly do not know what to do lol

I really dont know what to do .
Sorry for starting my own thread on this but looking for some answears.
I really dont want to spend over 400$ on a mobo to run into nothing but problems.

Before the SATA Data Corruption situation clears up, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy a 790i board.
Unless you're in a hurry ( but you really want to go SLI ), stay put and wait a month or so.

I will wait , after all i have no choice. I am not gona spend over 400$ on a motherboard that kills hard drives.
What i can not understand is how can a huge company like nvidia make mistakes of this magnituted?
With all the money they have they should be able to afford competent staff and release a solid, stable product to theyr consumers.
If all of this turn out to be truth , i honestly have no words to describe my disgust for this companys.
They might has well come over my house at gun point and rob me of 400$ , i would respect them more.
