What do you think about it?

For $400 you could do a lot better but if money isnīt an issue and you want something to work right out of the box you could do worse. The quick disconnect fittings are probably more restrictive than would be ideal. If you donīt mind doing some work you could get buy your whole loop for about the same as just the koolance unit.

The problem I am having is that I don't have room for a radiator on my case. I have a lian li V1200. I can bolt a 2 or 3 rad on the back of the case but don't have lots of ways to drill a 1/2 inch hole for the tubes. I am open to suggestions.

here's one:
Use a Swiftech rad box and stick the rad behind.
for the tubes to exit, you need bigger than 1/2" if your tubings are 1/2" internal diameter. 5/8" or 3/4" normally
However, I had prior success pushing 1/2"ID 5/8"OD tubings through an opened PCI slot and out to a rad behind. That may be an option...

OMG..
okey i like koolance, but only on there nozzle line. Some of there "new" blocks seem alright, but thats where i draw the line.
NO do not get that because it has an alu radiator. That would limit your exposure to a lot of great products.
NO its not worth it. I can think of better ways to spend 400 dollars on a cooling system that would eat this koolance for breakfast lunch and dinner with a midnight snack inbetween.
If you really need an external i would contact cyber druid and see if he can wip you up something for a good price. He has great work, and i bet you it will still come out cheaper then that koolance unit.
Too bad NEWLS1 is not making waterkegs at the moment.

Could use 3/8" tubing with a PCI passthrough...

will the swiftech rad box fit the thermochill and the black ice radiators? Those are the two I was thinking of if I went with mounting a unit behing the case

the radbox uses the fan screw holes to mount a fan and a rad
as long as you have a 120mm fan hole at the back of your case, there should be no problems...in fact, even a 92mm fan hole will do as the case side of the radbox is adjustable
only concern would be weight...those rads are much bigger and heavier...you may wanna add a piece of foam below the rad so the weight does not rest fully on the radbox only
also, one of the barbs on the rad will be very far from a PCI slot if you choose to run a tube through
a 90 degrees elbow, or some very creative loops may be needed to get it to go through the slot without kinking

Seth (Newls1) is out of town for a few days - However
I know that he has a couple Keg's left to build.
Go here and shoot him an email!
http://www.externalpccooling.net/
This will by far be superior to the Koolance - Exos system
Especially if you go for the EXTREME with a Thermochill PA120.3

Long Live NEWLS1 and the WaterKeg!
I can not say enough about this product and his superior Customer Service!

He is First Class and offers a GREAT LOOKING Product that PERFORMS EXTREMELY WELL!
Mine was custom Colored Gloss "hammered finish" black and custom Gold "Bronze" Rad. Looks Sweet - and is extremely quiet! The Yates ROCK and move lots of air!
Give him an Email! and see if he scan squeeze in one of his last for a while to you! You will NOT REGRET it and you will be one of:

+1 on a custom build or WaterKeg. The money is better spent without using the Koolance name :D

Delirious, check my sig, the LianLi build... yea, i got my hands on a shroud to house the fans but if you dont mind the fans visible, you can actually build a nice system with a MCR320 and keep it all internal.

+2 on custom build. A solid loop that isn't too expensive (and performs way better than the Koolance) could consist of: Laing D5, EK Supreme, Swiftech MCR320, Swiftech MCRES, and whatever tubing you like. I really don't know why anyone would go for a Koolance watercooling setup

I did indeed say that, after spending several hundreds of dollars, buying my needed machines, and tools, it wll actually cost quite abit more then my steel cases. Not really a feasable option right now, until I can find a more reliable way to build the plastic cases. Takes me a hell of alot of time to just build one, and 5/16th thick plexi ISN'T CHEAP:eek: . I'm always looking for a "new" idea for my product, but as of right now, I'm sticking to my "tried and true" design.

Seth would you do the plexi case if someone paid for them? Could you make it an option?

Use whatever you like in your sig..... Im just a proud Owner - and if your able to keep up with Demand! I will continue to sing the Praises of the WaterKeg! :)
******and nope this is not a paid for advertisement........ all joking aside
I honestly and truly love my KeG - you ask, "what makes it special?"
The fact that it is in many ways - similar to an Exos! I simply sit the Keg on Top or Beside my Case or in a window or near an A/C vent...... (ideas) then simply attach my CPU block, GFX block and fill and run. It is that Simple to setup!
I didnt have to struggle with how to best mount my Radiator - or worry about coming out of my Res at a funky angle to go to the Pump.....with out a Kink and all that. ALL of the guess work was done for me!
Great Products at a Great Price will Always Sell - thanks Seth for making my life "hella easy" and performing better than other off the shelf units!
