Good Walk in Hardware stores in or near NYC?

Hi all.

I was wondering if any of you yanks were aware of some good walk in stores where I could go to purchase some PC hardware this weekend in or near to NYC?

The best I have found so far is the Micro center over near Westbury (good prices decent selection) ... anywhere else worth checking out for ram / cpu's etc?

If you were on the west coast, you could hit Frys.

MicroCenter and Frys are about it, as far as brick-and-mortar stores go. Maybe Tiger Direct stores down south in Florida. Just get what you need from MicroCenter and be happy you don't pay VAT here. :) :up:

Never been personally but afaik J&R Computer World at 1 Park Row.

Btw, Fry's has made it to this side of the Mississippi River. Not to the "east coast" though there are two in Georgia.
