A case that.........

* Is Full tower.
* Doesn't use inverted atx so as not to mess up my P5KE's heatpipes.
* Has ample room for water cooling.
* Allows for good cable management.
* Looks good.

Anything out there ?

All recommendations appreciated.

thermaltake armor. (heavy)
cm stacker
gigabyte 3d series.
any full lian-li without inverted atx

my favorite is the gigabyte 3d series. especially the new 3d mars. they are light, and very functional. and the mars includes HDD rack fans. finally. although, if you're looking to not mod the case, and mount a rad internally, you'll probably have to go with a stacker or armor

Modern heatpipes aren't direction sensitive, so you can still use inverted ATX. They will be fine.

yes, it exists, it's called Lian-Li Pc-A77 and is brand new, which means it hasnt really hit retail yet. link (http://lian-li.com/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=212&cl_index=1&sc_index=25&ss_index=61), hardwarezone review (http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=22&id=2515), thinkcomputer review (http://www.thinkcomputers.org/index.php?x=reviews&id=727).
It has the potential to be the best case ever in my opinion.. even besting g70 and tj07.. cant wait until its avalaible in retail.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I'm reading through now.

I havent found anything to support the fact that heatpipes on motherboards arent gravity sensitive. In fact arent Lian Li scrapping inverted atx because most modern boards are using heatpipes ?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heatpipe

The wick the article talks about is to get the condensed fluid back to the hot part of the heatpipe. Older heatpipes didn't have this wick and relied on gravity to get the liquid back to the hot part of the pipe.

I like the v1000z better, but yea it's not a full tower.

Lian-Li's new full tower PC-V2010 (http://www.lian-li.com.tw/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=208&cl_index=1&sc_index=25&ss_index=61)

Here is a picture with an eATX board... notice how short the 8800's look.

Most heatpiped motherboards have already tossed the logic behind heatpipes and used them to connect heatsources, so what angle the motherboard as is doesn't make a difference. It's already broken, breaking it more won't matter :p:

I would go for Temjin 07 or the upcoming Antec 1200

I personally find the Antec 1200 to be extremely unattractive. The TJ-07 would with that war hands down imo.

Well assuming the heatpipe issue is a non issue I'm leaning toward a Lian Li, either the V2000 or V2100 at the moment, unless I can find a good reason not to.
