I want to hook up my denon 5.1 home theater up to my computer. I want to retain the 5.1 surround sound though. I have used a 1/8" jack to RCA y-splitter for a while now but that only gives me stereo sound.

I have a sound blaster live 5.1 (i know its crap but this is my old computer im using as a htpc). If necessary I have an audigy 2 zs platinum I can use (but then I cant use its multiple connector faceplate cuz of htpc case). I would like to be able to put a DVD in the computer and have 5.1 come out the HT. I just havent been able to figure out how to do it yet.

Im hoping some of you audio gurus can point me in the right direction. The setup doesnt have to be top notch, I just want decent surround.

thanks in advance!

IMHO you'd be better off with something NOT made by Creative. Find the Cheapest Card with DDL and be done with it.

TURTLE BEACH TBS-3300-01 Montego DDL Sound Card $53.22.

Or something similar.

Thanks I appreciate the quick feedback! Ordered that soundcard from provantage (a little cheaper at $48). Thanks a bunch man!
