I'm absolutely new to this, so I'm hoping someone can help me build an External Hard Drive using internal hard drives & external enclosures.
My most important question is - is it possibly to combine 2 hard drives but have them show up as One? I think something called "JBOD" can do it. I don't know what is RAID and if that can do it.
Secondly, if I only put one hard drive now - and a second one later - and to do that "show up as one" - will I have to reformat the first hard drive?
Here's what I'm looking at:

What I want to do is, make this 750GB External Hard Drive now, and then add a 750GB or 1TB Hard Drive later down the road.
Also, I need to use HFS+ (Mac) file system. Will JBOD or RAID or whatever it is work with HFS+??
