First the following are my specifications:
Xeon 3060 @3.6ghz
4GB DDR2-800
P5K Premium
2x Raptor
1x Seagate 250GB 7200.10
5x 120mm Antec Fans
3x 92mm Antec Fans
BFG 8800GT
550 Watt Antec NEO HE
Like before I was playing with my 8800GT without issue and temperature readings were not very high, 50c max since I had an Arctic Cooling S1 with two 92mm Antec fans but all of a sudden my PC powers off. So I'm thinking overheat, left it for about 30 minutes with side panel open then when trying to boot I can see that some of my LEDs and other things seem to turn on for less then a second then it turns back off. So I think oh crap it's dead PSU but when I put in my X1900XT, it turns on perfectly and runs perfectly in XP. So I think it's a dead 8800GT, so I put the 8800GT back in but this time without the PCI-E power connector and it beeps while everything else is powered on which I thought it means that was living to a certain extent, so I plug in the PCi-E power connector and same thing, it would seem like it's powering on for less then a second and turn back off. I tried this on my 380 watt Seasonic that worked before but this time same thing that happen with my main machine, it won't boot an when taking out the PCI-E power cord, the card beeps and everything else turns on. Is the card dead?
